Welcome to Peace of the Mountains, a family-owned vacation rental where you can escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature. Our cabin is tucked away in a secluded location while still being close to all the amenities you need, including the ski resort and plenty of outdoor activities. You’ll love the peace and quiet of our cabin!
The Cabin
The master bedroom, located upstairs, has an en-suite bath, walk-in closet, and sitting area. At the top of the stairs is a loft overlooking the family room. The remaining bedrooms and bathroom are located on the main level. The first downstairs bedroom features a queen bed and the second has two sets of bunk beds, sleeping 4. The downstairs bath features a double vanity and bathtub/ shower combination.
The kitchen is fully stocked and has full-size range, refrigerator, and dishwasher making cooking and cleaning easy. The coffee maker accommodates k-cups as well as a regular carafe. The open concept counter allows for easy conversation between the kitchen and living areas.
Relaxing in the living room is easy. Put your feet up in front of the fireplace and enjoy the great mountain views out of the floor-to-ceiling windows. Or step out on the large deck to enjoy the fresh mountain air.

"This was our second time staying at this cabin and it is still great. Our family of 4 was very comfortable in this cabin, but it could definitely accommodate more guests. The cabin has all you could need with a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and nice clean bathrooms and living space. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck looking at the mountains through the pine trees. Definitely a relaxing vacation getaway!!!"
Angel Fire, NM
Nestled in the Moreno Valley at the southern edge of the Rockies, Angel Fire is a family-friendly destination for year-round fun and relaxation. In the winter, Angel Fire Resort offers skiing and snowboarding on over 500 acres of terrain for all experience levels. After the snow melts, the mountain is transformed into the largest bike park in the Rocky Mountains. Angel Fire Country Club is accessible to the public, offering an 18-hole golf course as well as dining and fitness center.
Enjoy the beauty of the Carson National Forest on one of the Greenbelt hiking trails or the nearby Elliot Barker trail. Horseback riding is also available. Monte Verde lake has fishing and paddle boat rentals.
Located just off the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway, Angel Fire is a 45-minute drive to Taos and Red River. Visit nearby Cimarron Canyon State Park to fish, hike, or have a picnic near the spectacular Palisades. Head a little further East to the town of Cimarron and visit the historic St. James Hotel.
Our cabin is conveniently located 2.5 miles from the ski area base and 1.5 miles from the grocery store.
